Our next Day of Gothic Creation is on the 27th of March. Log in for a single session or the whole day. We’ll be repeating our successful author showcases (one of my favourite parts of the day) with sessions at 7 pm GMT.
We’re looking for your submissions!
Would you like to take part?
- We’re looking for poetry, extracts, mini dramas, micro-fiction, short stories (up to 2000 words) with a connection to the theme of GOTHIC ROMANCE
- All the events are free but people can support us on patreon and we use that money to thank contributors (we also share your links so people can tip you or buy your publications). Currently, we can offer contributors £5
- The showcase is a live-reading with a mini Q and A. People want to know about your work!
- We offer the possibility of recording the reading, which then goes up on the YouTube channel and on our ‘Author Showcase’ page
Submission Guidelines
Submit by 7pm GMT April 10th
We’re looking for:
- Stories/poems/extracts of longer works under 2000 words
- They should be related to the Gothic but this link can be fairly tangential.
- We welcome work which crosses over with the Gothic from sci-fi, romance, horror, mystery, detective, thriller… If you’re not sure, send it anyway!
- Queer Gothic always particularly welcome!
